For the ultimate combination of style and protection, coloured paint protection film takes things a step further. Along with transforming the appearance of the vehicle, coloured PPF protects the original paint from rock chips, scratches, road debris and everyday wear.

A conventional vinyl wrap changes how the vehicle looks. PPF changes how well it survives. Colour change PPF does both in a single layer, which means no stacking film on film and no compromise between the two. Vinyl is the choice for range: the finish catalogue is enormous, partial wraps and printed designs are easy, and it is the budget-friendlier way to change colour. Coloured PPF is the choice for durability: fewer finishes, but the film is thicker, self-healing and built to take stone chips.

Most colour changes we do are vinyl. Most vehicles that live a hard life leave in coloured PPF. If you are not sure which, start a quote online and mention how the vehicle gets used.

The most requested wrap we do is not a full colour change. It is a chrome delete. Manufacturers still trim grilles, window surrounds and mirror caps in bright chrome, and most owners now read that as dated. Wrapping it black modernises the vehicle without touching the paint, and it comes off again whenever you want the chrome back.

A chrome delete can be as small as a grille surround or as complete as every bright piece on the vehicle. Gloss black reads closest to a factory blackout package; satin and matte let the trim recede instead of reflect. We hold a sample against your paint before anything is cut.

Every vehicle is carefully prepared and professionally installed with attention to the smallest details, for a clean, seamless finish that looks as good up close as it does from a distance.

Every job starts with a decontamination wash and a clay treatment so nothing is trapped under the film. Trim, handles and lights come off where the design calls for the film to tuck behind them rather than stop at an edge. The film is then laid, heat-formed into the body lines and post-heated so it stays put. Turnaround depends on the vehicle and how much disassembly the design needs, and we will give you a firm window when we quote.

Leave it alone for the first week. The adhesive is still setting, so no pressure washing, no automatic washes and no wax over the seams.

After that, hand wash only, top to bottom, with a pH-neutral soap and two buckets. Keep a pressure wand at least a foot back and never aim it straight at an edge or a seam. That is the one thing that will lift film. Fuel and bug splatter should come off sooner rather than later; both etch film faster than they etch paint.
